This thesis aims to detect one of the signatures of the formation of QGP: the production of φ mesons.During this study, the φ meson production is observed by the decay kaons through the decay branch φ→K+K−. The transverse momentum spectra of φ mesons at energies √sNN= 13TeV is analysed and refined to get clean φ meson peak from the ALICE TPC’s signal. The resulting φ meson yield is plotted against the transverse momentum and corrected for the detector’s reconstruction efficiency to show the variation of production of the meson with varying values of transverse momentum.
